TOURISM MANAGER (Dl) X 1 MATOPO REGIONAL OFFICE

The position of Tourism Manager has arisen at Matobo Regional Office. The incumbent will

be reporting directly to the Regional Manager.

Duties of position

• Coordination and management of the Authority’s business portfolio (consumptive and non-consumptive), including new and existing businesses and coordination of Authority Strategic Business Units in the region in liaison with stations.
• Managing and fostering relationships with third party commercial partners, ensuring these are always in the best interests of the Authority in the region.
• Coordination of leases administration and management of Tour Operations activities in the region.
• Promoting a customer focused and responsive business culture, delivering services of the highest quality and professional standards,
• Assist to provide leadership and direction and management through active monitoring and review of business processes in the region.
• Assist in provision of leadership in the marketing of the Authority’s products, facilities and services.
• Coordinate and undertake Authority’s marketing, and tourism activities in the region.
• Carry out periodic analytical reviews of existing and proposed regional marketing and sales plans.
• Promote a customer focused and responsive business culture, delivering services of the highest quality and professional standards in the cluster.
• Coordination of refurbishment programs in the region in liaison with the Tourism and Customer Services Manager at the Corporate Centre.

Qualifications – Experience

• Degree in Marketing / Tourism or Business Management,
• A relevant Master’s degree will be an added advantage,
• Strong interpersonal skills, professional maturity, openness and collaborative skills to

manage stations operations and stakeholders at cluster level.

• Outstanding communication, presentation, relationship building and networking skills.
• At least three years’ relevant experience
• Good communication and customer relations skills,
• Sound knowledge of Digital Marketing,
• Computer literacy.

A clean class four valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage
