Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, assisting with purchases, answering queries, and always maintaining professionalism.
  • Operate the cash register efficiently, including scanning items, processing payments, issuing receipts or refunds, giving change, and balancing the till.
  • Ensure constant availability at the till point to support smooth and timely transaction processing.
  • Follow all Front End department procedures, service delivery standards, turnaround times, and housekeeping/hygiene requirements.
  • Apply product knowledge, upsell promotions, and share customer feedback with management.
  • Resolve customer inquiries or escalate complex issues to supervisors as needed to avoid delays.
  • Assist with packing customer items and help with restocking shelves or maintaining store appearance when required.
  • Maintain high personal grooming standards and adhere to company policies, including cash-handling and security procedures.
  • Participate in performance reviews, training programs, and demonstrate teamwork, time management, communication, and initiative.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

  • At least 5 ‘O’ levels including Mathematics and English Language
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Till Operating position in retail FMCG
  • A Certificate in Till Operating will be an added advantage
