The Nurse will provide directservice delivery for HIV prevention, care and treatment support and TB programs supported by ZACH in Mashonaland West and Central provinces. The nurse will work under the guidance of the MOHCC technical supervisor at facility level and works towards achievement and sustaining the UNAIDS 95,95,95 targets through scale up activities including integrated outreaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer HIV testing services through high-impact evidence-based interventions.
  • Offer HIV Prevention services (PrEP, PEP, Condom distribution)
  • To scale up HIV Self-Test, provide index testing for partners, provide EID services to HIV-exposed infants, and link positive infants to care.
  • Implement strategies to ensure high viral load coverage, DSD enrollment, TPT, cervical cancer screening coverage for eligible women living with HIV, and TB screening and testing under the targeted TB testing strategy.
  • Mobilization for outreaches; work with facility nurses and CHWs to mobilize clients within health facilities and the community for any outreach activities
  • Assess the resource needs for the program and address any concerns and requests through PTO
  • Ensures availability of the latest SOPs and guidelines for the HPCTS program as they are made available
  • Initiate and participate in Quality Improvement activities, ensuring availability of at least one QI project at the facility
  • Document in all relevant registers, support routine data collection, and weekly and monthly timely reporting through the parent clinic
  • Managing HTS commodities and OI/ART medicines required for service provision.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) Ordinary Level passes, including English Language.
  • Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Nursing
  • Valid registration with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe.
  • Rapid HIV testing and counselling certificate.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience OI/ART experience is required.
  • Previous mobilizing experience working in OI ART services, including HIV testing.
  • M&E experience would be an added advantage
  • Good standing with the community being served is a must.
  • Good knowledge of English and report writing skills are required.
