Qualifications

B-Tech / BSc Honours Degree or an equivalent in the relevant field plus
Three (3) years of laboratory experience in a tertiary institution, research institute or relevant industry.
Or Higher National Diploma plus five (5) years relevant experience.
Relevant Professional Certifications are an added advantage

Duties And Responsibilities

The successful candidate would be required, among other duties, to:

Ensure that all computer systems, hardware, and software in the laboratory are properly maintained, updated, and in working condition.
Set up and configuring computer systems, and network infrastructure in the laboratory.
Provide technical assistance and support to students, faculty, and staff who use the computer science laboratory
Ensure the security and integrity of the laboratory’s computer systems and data
Collaborate with faculty members, researchers, and students to facilitate laboratory activities, experiments, and projects
Assist students and users with laboratory procedures, software applications, and programming languages commonly used in computer science.
Ensuring that the laboratory adheres to safety regulations and guidelines.
