Glenrise Investments, an established organization in mining and construction, seeks to recruit suitably qualified and dedicated personnel in the following field:

Technician – Preventive & Corrective Maintenance (x2)

The job

The successful applicant will among other key duties, be responsible for:

• Conducting daily inspections on inverters, transformers, trackers, RMUS, SCUS.

• Performing minor troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

• Check torqueing, cooling systems, earthing, cable routing, and fuses.

• Assisting with equipment replacements under guidance from OEMs.

• Maintain toolkits and spares log.

• Carry out HT switching.

The Person

The ideal candidate should have the following minimum qualifications and attributes:

• National Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy. Apprenticeship trained Class 1 Electrician minimum.

• 5+ years in plant maintenance, electrical or solar installations in heavy industry or a Solar Plant.

• Ability to read electrical drawings and understand safety isolations.

• Knowledge of DC/AC systems and safety lockout procedures.

• HT switching certificate preferably 33kV and above.
