Hwange Colliery Company Limited, the leading coal producer of coal and coke in the Country has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Technical Superintendent This is a highly mechanized Mine utilizing the latest technology in coal mining. The position reports to the Underground Mine Manager. Applications are invited from persons who meet the following minimum qualifications:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Formulation for both short and long term mining plans for Underground Operations.
- Providing technical services to the Underground Mining Operations.
- Carrying out major projects for optimization of Mining Operations.
- Monitoring overall mine productivities to enhance continuous improvement.
- Ensuring Compliance with relevant statutory requirements.
- Compilation of annual budgets for the Underground Mine Department.
- Ensure strict adherence to the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
- Formulation of Life of Mine (LoM) plans for the Underground Mining Operations
JOB SPECIFICATION
- Bsc Honours Degree in Mining Engineering
- Full Blasting License
- Six years post qualification experience especially in coal mining, underground and opencast
- At least 3 years in supervisory positions underground or surface mining
- Registered with the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe
Highly computer literate and familiar with the mining software like SURPAC Ellipse, MIMS
