Technical Sales Representative

Responsible to: Marketing Manager

Summary Description
The incumbent provides technical back up service to all the Chemplex Harare customers under the Mining & Metallurgy, Water Treatment, and General Industry portfolios.

Key Functions

Determines customer needs and matches product and service offering to those needs.

Meets agreed sales targets

Strengthens good customer service standards

Prospects for new business.

Compiles and submits tenders and other contracts.

Provides technical advice to customers on safe product use, storage, handling, and disposal.

Provides market feedback to management through file notes, weekly and monthly reports.

Degree in Chemistry or related field

A diploma in marketing.

Experience & Person Specification

At least 2 years post graduate working experience in technical Sales

High degree of personal discipline and agility to work under minimum supervision

Refined negotiating skills

Ability to communicate at all levels.

Must be computer literate.

Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards

A Clean Class 4 driver’s licence.
