TECHNICAL OFFICER (2)
The purpose of the job is to conduct analytical testing of raw materials, ingredients, and finished products while ensuring accurate results, maintaining the ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory management system, and supporting method development, quality assurance, and standards development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze samples (raw materials, ingredients, and finished products).
- Develop and validate analytical test methods.
- Implement and maintain the ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory management system.
- Compile accurate and timely test reports.
- Participate in inter-laboratory comparison tests and proficiency testing.
- Contribute to standards development activities.
- Maintain and update analytical standards, reference methods, and technical literature.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Chemistry, Food Science, or Biochemistry (Degree is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in testing laboratory.
- Proficient in operating and maintaining analytical instruments (HPLC, GC-MS, ICP-OES, FT-NIR, Textile instruments).
- Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and ISO/IEC 17025 is an added advantage.
- Experience in analytical method development and validation.
- Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Computer literate with good communication skills.
