MINISTRY OF HIGHER & TERTIARY EDUCATION, INNOVATION, SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT MARY MOUNT TEACHERS COLLEGE TRAIN AS A SCHOOL TEACHER: 2021 INTAKE Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to train in any of the following 3 year Diploma programmes: 1. Diploma in Education Primary (Early Childhood Development) 2. Diploma in Education Primary (Junior) 3. Diploma in Education Secondary (Sciences) For 3, the following subject combinations are offered: (a) Pure and Applied Mathematics (b) Chemistry and Biology (c) Chemistry and Physics (d) Geography and Agriculture.
Work/Educational Requirements
Entry requirements To qualify for 1 and 2, the candidate must have passed a minimum of 5’O’Level subjects including Mathematics, English and a Science subject. To qualify for 3, the candidate must have passed a minimum of 5’O’Level subjects including Mathematics and English. In addition, a pass at ‘O’Level in Chemistry and Biology, Chemistry and Physics OR Geography and Agriculture is required. An ‘A’ Level pass in any of the subjects being offered is an advantage.
