POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Incumbent will be responsible for preparing, reconciling, and filing all tax obligations, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare corporate tax computations
  • Ensure timely submission of all tax returns
  • Maintain tax General Ledger accounts and perform reconciliations
  • Prepare deferred tax calculations
  • Track capital allowances
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
  • Ensure tax data integrity within systems
  • Work with the Finance and Commercial teams on tax-related matters
  • Recommend tax planning strategies by researching and interpreting tax laws
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting
  • Professional qualification (Taxation/CIMA/ACCA/CA preferred)
  • 2-3 years Taxation experience
  • Experience in the mining sector, particularly within large corporations, is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, financial reporting standards, internal controls, statutory requirements, and tax issues
  • Strong technical knowledge of Zimbabwe’s tax laws
  • Ability to prepare tax computations and returns
