The ICT Department seeks a skilled Systems Administrator to join the ICT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliability of our computer systems and networks.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ information systems/ information and
communication technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
Strong knowledge of system security and data protection.
Knowledge of Belina, and Pastel, are an added advantage.
Knowledge of MSSQL, and MySql, are an added advantage
Proficiency in Windows/Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and application software.
Ensure the integrity and security of systems and data.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
Perform regular system backups and recovery operations.
Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
Collaborate with other IT staff to optimise system performance.
Provide support to Students, and Staff in the University.
