The ICT Department seeks a skilled Systems Administrator to join the ICT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliability of our computer systems and networks.

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ information systems/ information and
communication technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
 Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
 Strong knowledge of system security and data protection.
 Knowledge of Belina, and Pastel, are an added advantage.
 Knowledge of MSSQL, and MySql, are an added advantage
 Proficiency in Windows/Linux operating systems.
 Familiarity with network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
 Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

 Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
 Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and application software.
 Ensure the integrity and security of systems and data.
 Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
 Perform regular system backups and recovery operations.
 Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
 Collaborate with other IT staff to optimise system performance.
 Provide support to Students, and Staff in the University.
