Hardrock Mining Tools is a supplier of drilling equipment and a service provider to mines in Zimbabwe. Suitably qualified individuals are invited to apply for the position of Systems Administrator which has arisen in our organisation.

Job Summary: Systems Administrator

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the incumbent will be responsible, among other things, for:

Managing ICT systems that contribute to maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency of the Organisation.

1. Contributes towards the ICT Strategy.

2. Contributes towards the annual ICT budget.

3. Develops, reviews and recommends ICT Policies.

4. Assesses ICT services usage to ensure that they are in line with policies, work instructions, plans, national and international regulations.

5. Monitors VoIP, e-mail, VPN, ERPs, hardware and internet usage to ensure compliance with ICT policies, work instruction and procedures.

6. Ensures internal ICT processes and procedures are compliant to national and international regulations.

7. Monitors VoIP, E-mail, Internet, VPN, Active Directory and Windows Intune service providers to ensure availability of ICT services to and other users.

8. Monitors and maintains the Organisation’s software (e.g. Pastel, CRM) and hardware (e.g. server, CPU, Memory usage) daily.

Qualifications And Experience

Qualifications And Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline; professional certification is an added advantage.

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role.

• Must have experience and knowledge of Pastel Evolution.

• Experiencewith databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management

• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery

• Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language

• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude

• Excellent communication skills.
