Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental inspections and audits.
  • Collecting, analyzing and reporting Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) data while ensuring accuracy and alignment with recognized reporting frameworks such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
  • Monitoring environmental performance indicators and recommending initiatives that improve resource efficiency, reduce waste and minimize environmental impacts
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Developing and delivering training programmes on environmental sustainability, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), ESG principles and corporate sustainability.
  • Supporting the planning, implementation and monitoring of environmental and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects
  • Prepare sustainability reports and dashboards.
  • Keep abreast of legislation and sustainability trends.
  • Support initiatives aligned with food safety and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability or related field.
  • ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or GRI training is an added advantage.
  • 2-3 years’ relevant experience in sustainability/environmental management.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or meat processing preferred.
  • Knowledge of Zimbabwean environmental legislation and ESG reporting.
  • Experience with energy, water, waste and carbon management will be an added advantage.
