STORES CONTROLLER (GRADE 10)
The Municipality of Marondera invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the post of Stores Controller to be employed in the Municipality’s Stores Section. Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
Reporting to the Chamber Secretary
Qualifications:
- Degree in Purchasing and Supply or relevant field.
- 5 ‘O’ levels including a pass in English language, Mathematics, English and Science.
- At least three years experience of inventory management or supply and purchasing role.
- Proven in an inventory management software.
- Conversant with Promun system and other ERP systems an added advantage.
- Experience in local government systems is an added advantage.
- Holder of a clean class 4 driver’s licence.
- No criminal record.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee all stock levels and inventory control systems.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of inventory movements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics for timely deliveries.
- Conduct regular audits and stock checks.
- Implement best practices of inventory management.
- Train and supervise warehouse staff.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
