JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client, in the Mining Industry, seeks applications from qualified, experienced and self-driven candidates for the position of STORES CONTROLLER.
Purpose of the Job
The Stores Controller position exists to maintain the supply and demand of inventory ensuring that there are adequate stocks available.
Principal Accountabilities
- Manages all inventories in the warehouses to guard against pilferages and other related losses.
- Initiates timely purchasing of stocks to maintain adequate stocks.
- Ensures ail critical material requirements are held and recorded for ease of managing and tracking.
- Monitors the movement of strategic and critical stocks to manage major product stoppers.
- Ensures ail safety, healthy and legal standards are met and maintained.
Job Related Attributes
- A degree in Purchasing and Supply, Accounts degree or other relevant commercial related degree.
- Working towards attainment of professional qualification such as CIPS
- 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Experience in mining environment is also an added advantage.
- Sound understanding of SHEQ systems.
