STOCK CONTROLLER

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill in the position of Stock Controller.

JOB SUMMARY
The stock controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of stores from receiving, dispatching, stock checks, minimizing variances and maintaining the supply and demand of inventory, and ensuring that there are adequate stocks available. The stock controller will also ensure stock purchasing and delivery confirmations, and manage inventory balances. The ideal candidate will be able to keep a complete and detailed database of inventory and supply documentation, but will also be on the ground floor of receiving to personally inspect and confirm supply quality and delivery.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Offloading trucks according to the Supplier invoice
2. Offloading returns and checking documentation
3. Collection of Invoices and Loading of Trucks
4. Stock storage – placement, neatness, uniformity and stock rotation
5. Monitor freezer temperatures
6. Sign stock in and out of production
7. Fuel security
8. Stock takes and stock spot checks
9. Signing stock in and out of production
10. Carry out departmental administration, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, communication, liason, training and development of subordinates.
11. Carry out all such reasonable or lawful duties and instructions
12. Be an honest individual

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field a plus
• Two (2) years’ experience as stock controller, receiver, or related position
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• Good report writing skills
• Proficiency in Meat Matrix will be an added advantage
• Physically fit – able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift and able to lift up to 25 kg’s or more
• Attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
