EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university and a relevant Master’s degree are requisite.
A minimum of two (2) years of related experience of working with hardware and digital devices, microcontrollers, sensors, computer servers and hardware, Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, iOS, Android) is essential.
Demonstrated experience conducting research in embedded systems, automation and control engineering involving hardware devices, voluminous data collection, cleaning, processing and visualization, software development (for mobile devices, web and desktops) is a strong advantage.
Experience in leading engineering, working with researchers at all levels from primary school to higher education and research is desirable.
Also desirable is experience in providing ICT and digital devices-related support to researchers and the community, traceable publishing and participation in specific research projects.
Appreciation of C, Python, Java programming languages.

Duties
The STEM Centre is supported by STEM POWER whose main objective is to promote teaching/learning, research, innovation and industrialization in Higher Education institutions, high schools and primary schools.

Position summary
The STEM Center Manager is responsible for the Virtual Computer Lab and Electronics Lab management. He/she works to ensure the delivery of high-quality research services for all researchers from Universities, High Schools or Secondary Schools, Primary Schools and the community. The primary responsibilities of STEM Center Manager include, but are not limited to 1) planning, developing and integrating new and existing STEM support services and activities designed to facilitate the success of students in engineering classes, 2) ensuring equitable opportunities for academic success and retention, and 3) promote student interest and engagement in STEM disciplines and careers

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage all projects to be done with STEM Centre equipment and materials;
Assist in the identification of problems that can be solved through Education 5.0;
Oversee events and programs by organizing and coordinating resources;
Ensure program activities run smoothly through the appropriate use of materials, space, and time, and that youths participate,
Ensure STEM activities are purposeful and promote reflection and STEM learning
Identify and implement program enhancements and opportunities through regular on-site observations and feedback from researchers;
Assist with student project supervision;
Plan and coordinate community service events related to STEM;
Provide in-person technical support on ad-hoc basis for field teams and on-site researchers;
Coordinate replacement of damaged or lost equipment;
Ensure research activities run smoothly through the appropriate use of materials, space, and time, and that all researchers participate;
Provide orientation and training to all staff categories;
Oversee the implementation of community engagement activities within each program including community visits (when applicable).
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Executive ICT Director from time to time.
