Job Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Sports Instructor that has arisen in our Institute.
Reporting to the Human Resources Officer, the successful candidate among other duties will be responsible for the following:-

Duties and Responsibilities
 Oversees the running of a state of the art gymnasium.
 Monitors exercising customers and provides fitness assessment and feedback.
 Offers personal training and fitness education according to customer’s health needs.
 Provides personal training and prescribes workout programs for customers.
 Develops workout and health promotion programs according to professional fitness standards.
 Addresses customer complaints and questions promptly and professionally.
 Reports hazards and unsafe practices to management.
 Maintains the fitness center clean, safe and organized.
 Ensures that fitness equipment and tools are maintained in safe and good working
conditions.
 Instructs correct fitness methods and lifting techniques to minimize injury.
 Conducts individual and group fitness classes to meet the physical abilities and interest of customers.
 Adheres to operating procedures and regulations of a fitness facility.
 Liaises with national sports fraternities.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
 5 “O” Levels including Maths and English
 At least a National Diploma in Sports Science or equivalent
 A Degree in Sports Science or equivalent will be an added advantage
 Certification in fitness training from any accredited Professional Board such as ACE or HFPA a must.
 At least three years’ relevant experience
 Ability to instruct and motivate people
 Ability to train wellness courses and other sports such as volley ball, soccer etc
