Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill in the following vacancies

• SOCIAL SERVICES OFFICER GRADE 10

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Smooth running of council clinics and schools in liaison with relevant government ministries
• Implementation of water, sanitation and hygiene programs
• Managing council’s housing portfolio and processing housing waiting list
• Development of plans and policies that address public health, housing and education concerns
• Design programmes to meet the needs of vulnerable and historically disadvantaged people
• Formulating and administering the social services budget
• Community mobilization on health and education issues
• Servicing the social services committee of council
• Provide secretarial services to the social services subcommittee of RDDC

Qualifications and experience 
• A first degree in Social Science in the following fields: Local Governance. Rural Development, Development Studies. Sociology. Social Anthropology. Politics and Administration and Rural and Urban Planning, and Public Management from a recognized institution
• A Master s degree in any of the above disciplines is an added advantage
• At least 3 years post qualification experience preferably in the local government fraternity
• At least 30 years of age
• A class A driver’s licence is an added advantage
