Zimbabwe Power Company is the leading generator of electrical energy in Zimbabwe and supplies the bulk of the nation’s electrical power requirements from its five Power Stations. The Company is inviting suitably qualified candidates for the following position which is vacant at Harare Power Station.
Shift Charge Superintendent/ Engineer
Duties And Responsibilities
Assisting in the development of the section business plan.
Monitoring and supervising the commissioning of plant.
Monitoring plant performance and efficiency through checking and analyzing of log books Attending to plant startup and shut down.
Carrying out routine checks, inspections and tests on generating plant to ensure optimal operation. Carrying out on the job training and monitoring staff performance.
Carrying out mechanical and electrical isolations, switching, issuing and cancelling of safety documents. Setting of performance targets and carrying out performance appraisals for subordinates.
Qualifications And Experience
Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline
Corporate membership of a recognized Professional Institution ie ZIE, ECZ
6 years relevant Post Graduate experience
ZESA Senior Authorisation
OR
HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant Engineering Discipline.
Corporate membership of a recognized Professional Institution i.e ZIE,ECZ
8 Years Relevant Experience
