We seek to recruit experienced and qualified Shift Boss based at Freda Rebecca Gold Mine in Bindura. About the Job We are looking for experienced Shift Boss to join our Mining team. This position reports to the Development Mine Captain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance to Mining Regulations, SHEQ policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates mining activities with the objective of meeting production targets.
  • Assesses the quality of work performed by subordinates and initiates corrective action where necessary.
  • Ensures the maintenance of high standards of housekeeping.
  • Ensures the adequate provision of resources, machinery and equipment to meet production targets.
  • Monitors the performance of machinery and equipment and ensures effective utilization of the same.
  • Manages on the job training and development of subordinates.
  • Prepares and submits requisite reports.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Mining/ Degree in Mining Engineering
  • Full Blasting Licence
  • Clean Class 4 Driver’s licence
  • 4 years Underground Mining Experience
