Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions which have arisen within a local security company. The candidates will be based in Harare.

POST A: SHEQ OFFICER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implementing and maintaining SHE management systems.
  • Responsible for scheduling, conducting, and documenting audit findings.
  • Evaluation of compliance at facilities in the areas of Environmental, Health, and Safety.
  • Monitors SHE rules, policies and guidelines. -Think independently regarding the degree of compliance and report such findings.
  • Interpret Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations and their applicability.
  • Responsible for technical work in environmental, health and safety disciplines to achieve
    compliance with the organization’s SHE standards and with Government regulatory
    requirements.
  • Investigates accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards or uncomfortable
    conditions in the work place.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drafting of Policies, manuals and giving guidance on the development of departmental procedures.
  • Developing and managing the Internal Audit program focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Developing, implementing and reviewing awareness training program for the staff.
  • Administering the non-conformance and corrective action programs.
  • Coordinating the Management Review System in consultation with the executive management.
  • Liaison with certification bodies such as Standards Association of Zimbabwe on ISO Certification Audits.
  • Conduct audits to verify compliance with ISO standard requirements; prepare and issue summarized reports on quality
  • Maintain high level of quality awareness at all levels and monitor compliance of the Quality Management System to the ISO Standard.
  • Perform induction training of new staff (Quality Management Training).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification from a recognized university is a must.
  • Must have experience of running quality training programs.
  • At least 5 years post qualification experience
  • Experience in Security Services an added advantage
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, planning, organizational and communication skills are all essential.
