Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring SHEQ policies, procedures and systems.
- Conduct workplace safety inspections, audits and risk assessments.
- Support incident and accident investigations, record keeping and reporting.
- Facilitate SHEQ training, inductions and awareness campaigns for staff.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and client requirements.
- Maintain SHEQ records, statistics and documentation.
- Promote a safety culture and environmental best practices across all operations.
- Assist the SHEQ team with day to day activities as required
Requirements
- Currently studying or recently completed a National Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Safety Health Environment Quality, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
- Available for attachment for a minimum of 1 year.
- Basic understanding of SHEQ principles will be an advantage.
- Computer literate with good record keeping skills.
- Self starter, willing to learn and able to work independently.
