Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct workplace SHEQ inspections, audits, and hazard identification activities.
  • Assist with risk assessments, incident investigations, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance with occupational safety, health, environmental, and food safety standards.
  • Coordinate SHEQ inductions, toolbox talks, emergency drills, and employee awareness programmes.
  • Maintain SHEQ records, permits, registers, statutory documentation, and performance reports.
  • Support contractor compliance, environmental management initiatives, and internal and external SHEQ audits.
  • Compile SHEQ statistics, KPI reports, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across the business through employee engagement and compliance monitoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management or a related field.
  • OSHEMAC professional qualification is a requirement.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Safety, Health, Environment and Quality role.
  • Experience within an FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment will be an added advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of Zimbabwean occupational safety and environmental legislation.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 22000/HACCP is a requirement.
  • Strong analytical, report writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work independently.
