SHE OFFICER (NORTH AND MIDDLE DYKE MANAGER)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• A B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Safety and Environmental Management or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ experience in occupational health and safety, 2 of which should have been at a similar position in a mining or heavy industrial environment
• Membership to a recognised professional institute
• Good working knowledge with a SHE system such as NOSA or SATCOR, is a distinct advantage
• Must be innovative and possess excellent communication and collaborative skills

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Implementation of the divisional SHE systems and practices consistent with national legislation, NSSA, the NOSA system as well as relevant company policies and procedures
• Enforcing departmental compliance to all SHE standards and related statutory’ requirements
• Management of environmental aspects in compliance with EMA requirements
• Carrying out ad hoc and periodic SHE audits, incident and accident investigations and enforcing close out of remedial actions.
• Coordinating and facilitating suitable SHE training
• Liaison with internal and external stakeholders to sustain implementation of effective SHE System

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma/Certificate in the relevant Engineering field.
