Job Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, competent and experienced persons to fill the above position that has arisen at one of our Sites. The SHE Officer will facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) as per the client’s guidelines. You will provide advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations.
Duties And Responsibilities
Conducting health and safety risk assessments in liaison with the Site Manager and ensuring that remedial measures are implemented in compliance with relevant legislation.
Ensures daily, weekly, monthly, and annual ‘SHE’ reports.
Put in place and enforce Site ‘SHE’ strategies.
Identifies hazards and risk assessments.
Ensures all comply to safety legal requirements.
Ensures all accidents are reported immediately.
Qualifications And Experience
Applicants should be holders of BSc Honours in Geography and Environmental Studies or equivalent.
OSHEMAC qualification is a prerequisite.
At least four 4 years of experience as a SHEQ Officer or equivalent position in a mining industry.
An understanding of SHE systems in the mining industry.
