BAKER’S INN EVERY SINGLE DAY

Applications are invited for the SHE Officer position that has arisen within Baker’s INN Manufacturing – Southern Region, Bulawayo.

Key Responsibilities

The Candidate will be required to take full charge of all key responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following:

• Perform all tasks in compliance with given safety, health and environment procedures, codes, standards and regulations.
• Carrying out baseline risk assessments on new sites and design risk mitigation measures.
• Implementing, maintaining and reviewing SHE management systems.
• Carrying out Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA) and putting in place corrective measures.
• Maintaining compliance with the requirements of the Factories and Works Act Chapter 14:08, Pneumoconiosis Act Chapter 15:08, NSSA Act Chapter 17:04 and Environmental Management Act Chapter 20:07.
• Drafting standard operating procedures (SOPs) to make sure that work is conducted.
• Ensures regular inspection of Firefighting, safety and emergency response equipment.
• Assist in developing employee training or other programs to be implemented across the organization.
• Assist in the compilation of daily, weekly, monthly annual SHE reports.

Minimum Requirements

The ideal candidate should be in possession of the following minimum qualifications: –

• A Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related qualifications.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar SHE Officer role, preferably within the manufacturing environment.
• Full membership of a recognized professional institution.
• Excellent report writing skills and excellent computer skills.
