Job Responsibilities:

 

• Development of policies and procedures for non-clinical support services.
• Giving input into the development of support services budgets and ensures operational costs of services departments are within budget.
• Provision of leadership in the management and supervision of support services staff.
• Resolution of escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
• Promotion of a team approach to service delivery ensuring that patient experience is at the centre of everything we do.
• Promotion of a team based harmonious environment in which the services departments (maintenance, kitchen, loss control, housekeeping) provide high quality standards for patients utilizing our services.
• Ensuring compliance and infection prevention and control in relation to cleaning and waste control.
• Promotion of best practices in the delivery of services across all services departments.

 

 

Purpose and Responsibilities of the job

 

 

Reporting to the General Manager, the Services Manager shall be responsible for leading the hospital’s support services department including housekeeping, food services, maintenance and security.

 

 

Requirements:

 

• At least 3 years’ experience in the management of operations in the health/hospitality industry
• A degree in health services management, business management or hospitality management
• Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrate ability and exposure to the successful organizational change management
