Company Overview:

Barloworld Zimbabwe is the sole distributor of Caterpillar products in Zimbabwe and a wholly owned Barloworld Equipment company. The company provides technical and logistical support to customers in the Mining, Construction, Marine, and Energy industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, analyze, and troubleshoot systems and equipment
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate devices and diagrams
• Run tests and interpret results to make effective recommendations
• Write reports, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance plans
• Maintain, repair, diagnose, install, or replace equipment and machinery correctly
• Use technical knowledge of diagrams and engineering schematics to assist repairs
• Communicate precisely in writing for filing repair and maintenance reports
• Diagnose errors or technical problems accurately
• Audit and service equipment regularly
• Ensure all requisite information is captured accurately on job cards
• Handle customer relations professionally and courteously
• Follow company procedures and protocols strictly

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Heavy Equipment Machines
• Skilled Worker Class 1 certification
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role
• Computer literacy, including:
• Relevant SAP exposure
• MS Office proficiency
• SIS ET knowledge
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good customer relations and technical customer service abilities
