SERVER AND DATA BASE ADMINISTRATOR
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above vacancy that has arisen within First Mutual Health Company.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Job
Reporting to the Infrastructure and Networks Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Developing and maintaining the Group’s databases.
• Ensuring the Group’s data integrity and consistency requirements are adhered to.
• Creating backups of all Group resources.
• Providing, managing and monitoring the virtual, cloud and physical environment.
• Undertaking capacity planning for both on-premises and cloud environment.
• Planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard information on servers and databases against accidental damage, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
• Maintaining data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act.
• Designing and maintaining a functional data warehouse and business intelligence platforms to support business processes
• Designing, developing and extracting required reports in response to business needs.
Qualifications and Experience
The Person
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field of study
• At least 3 years experience in server and database management.
One or more of the following skills:
• MySQL, Oracle and SQL server operation
• Certification in vendor platforms (Microsoft, Oracle etc)
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows and Linux) and data center technologies
• Cloud platforms and server administration skills
• Data warehouse and data analytics skills
• Knowledge of backup software such as DPM, Veeam and Veritas
