1.1 Senior Technician (Photogrammetry And Remote Sensing (1 Post)
Duties And Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
• Care and maintenance of Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Survey equipment.
• Researching, designing and conducting photometry and Remote Sensing.
• Surveying practical’s and demonstrating as directed by Lecturers.
• Teaching student in the care and maintenance of Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Surveying equipment.
• Organizing survey camps for level 1, 2, and 3 students.
• Supervising and assisting in GIS Camping.
• Training of junior personnel.
• Dealing with reprographics in the department.
• Driving departmental vehicles on University business.
• Keeping inventory of the Survey storeroom and library.
• Providing technical assistance for research by both lecturers and students
Qualifications And Experience
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
Applicants must possess the following:
• A Degree in Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing or equivalent.
• A Higher National Diploma in Surveying specializing in Photogrammetry and Remote sensing.
• A minimum of 3 years practical experience in the relevant field.
• A corporate membership of a relevant professional institution is a distinct advantage.
