Responsible for effective smooth operation of the Morton Jaffray Waterworks by encompassing a range of responsibilities to ensure potable water is produced and transmitted to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Reduce plant downtimes
- Controls plant and operational plant schedules, recommend spares and consumable materials.
- Checks and accounts for works operational records, general administration and staff records on daily basis.
- Maintains and updates the asset register for plant and equipment.
- Recommends items for inclusion in the capital and revenue estimates
- Monitors compliance with safety regulations by staff handling hazardous chemicals and safety of operational equipment on daily basis.
- Performance monitoring and management
Requirements
- Degree in Water Engineering with at least five (5) years experience or /Higher National Diploma in Water and Wastewater Management with at least ten (10) years experience or Equivalent
- At least five (5) years in Supervisory position in regards to water production system
- A clean class 4 drivers licence is mandatory
