A role at Magetsi, a digital payments platform, focused on building and maintaining a seamless digital bill payment platform that redefines how Zimbabwe transacts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Magetsi web and omnichannel platforms using Laravel, Vue.js, and Inertia.js.
- Build clean, secure, and responsive UI components for our payment interfaces.
- Work with REST APIs and third-party financial integrations.
- Write tests (backend and frontend) to ensure smooth deployment.
- Collaborate on new features to make digital payments easier.
- Use GitHub for version control, branching, and pull requests.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in web development.
- Strong skills in Laravel, Vue.js, Tailwind CSS, and Inertia.js.
- Solid understanding of security practices and modern front-end workflows.
- Comfort with Linux/Ubuntu environments and deployment.
- Experience using GitHub for collaboration and version control.
- Knowledge of testing workflows and debugging.
- Backend: Laravel (PHP, Eloquent ORM, MySQL)
- Frontend: Vue.js, Tailwind CSS
- Framework: Inertia.js
- Version Control: GitHub (branching, PR reviews, collaboration)
- Deployment: Linux/Ubuntu environments (basic server management, Nginx/Apache)
- Testing: PHPUnit/Pest, Jest/Vitest
- Other: RESTful API design & Fintech integrations, automated & manual testing
- Nice to Have: Bootstrap WhatsApp API integration, Next.js, React.js, GraphQL
