Chinhoyi University of Technology Council is inviting suitably qualified and experienced applicants for the following senior positions that have arisen in the University’s Agro Industrial Park: –

The senior manager is responsible for providing leadership and supervising activities for the developmentand implementation of Agro Industrial Park programs to promote theirsustainable growth.

Person Specification
⦁ Hold at leasta Master’s or equivalent in agricultural economics/agriculture/agribusiness, agriculture finance/engineering or business-related field.
⦁ At least Five (5) years of relevant experience, two (2) of which should be in multilateral development of business ventures and/or agribusiness management as a professional, and three (3) years of which should be atamanagerial level.
⦁ Entrepreneurial oriented with innovative approach to business planning.
⦁ Vibrant team playerwith presence who enjoys being the public face of an organization.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.

Reporting to the Steering Committee, the Senior Manager has the following key accountabilities: • Building of competitive commodity value chains by linking improved productivity to increased value addition, downstream marketing, and policy reforms; • Identification of successful value chain development strategies, models, and anchor companies that can be financed to raise production of target value chains and so drive progress to the goals of Agro Industrial Park;
⦁ Development of CUT business-dealer network and input supply chains, including capacity building and sourcing funds for smooth functioning of Agro Industrial Park;
⦁ Scaling-up and scaling-out innovative models through effective approaches to organizing input and marketing systems;
⦁ Brokering in-take and off-take agreements with large agricultural sellers and buyers respectively, in order to improve the value proposition of improved inputsand sales;
⦁ Designing a self-accountable system that protects the integrity of Agro Industrial Park;
⦁ Establishment of agribusiness platforms to crowd in private sector engagement and investment;
⦁ Providing leadership to Agro Industrial Park staff, especially sub-division managers leading the implementation of different programs;
⦁ Contributing to the preparation of departmental annual work program and budgets according to the priorities set forth by section program managers;
⦁ Providing assistance and coaching for staff members requiring capacity strengthening to ensure they improve engagement and improve technical competence;
⦁ Preparing annual division reports.
