SENIOR LAB TECHNICIAN
A vacancy has arisen in our Laboratory Department for a Lab Technician. The position reports to the Head of Compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

a) Doing calibrations for all critical equipment and utilities in the organization. This is an essential cGMP requirement.
b) Carries out analysis of materials used in the RO plant, water for pharmaceutical use, cooling tower, and boiler water.
c) Does semiannual plant water and monthly trade effluent reports.
d) Generates new SOPs and updates existing ones as and when the need arises.
e) Prepares and participates in internal and external audits including the drafting and implementation of the resultant CAPAs.
f) In the absence of the Microbiologist, performs the micro tests on raw materials, bulk, and finished goods.

The suitable candidates must have a minimum of: –

⦁ Higher National Diploma in Applied Sciences.
⦁ Two years in a laboratory environment.
⦁ Good vision, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling delicate equipment and specimens.
⦁ Comfortable working in a laboratory environment that may involve exposure to potentially hazardous substances or materials.
⦁ Physical ability to lift, move and manipulate laboratory equipment.
⦁ Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment and follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
