SENIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR (FINANCIAL AND SUPPORT SERVICES) x 1
(GRADE – D3)

Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the job is responsible for the following:
Summary of Duties:

• Participating in the development of the Annual Internal Audit Plan using an appropriate
objective-centric risk-based methodology.
• Leading a team of Auditors in the designing, testing, and reporting on the
effectiveness, adequacy and efficiency of governance, risk management and internal
controls over Financial and other Support Services systems in accordance with the
International Professional Standards on Internal Auditing and the company`s Internal
Audit Standard Operating Procedures.
• Development of audit work plans which will include engagement objectives, scope,
timing, and resource allocations.
• Reviewing of ZCDC`s operations against strategic business plans and business
continuity plans for compliance and effectiveness.
• Performing special investigations, ad-hoc requests and consulting engagements as
assigned.
• Conducting risk assessments related to specific engagements and advice
management on areas of control deficiencies requiring improvement.
• Evaluating the risks of fraud and the way it is managed by the organisation considering
management set tolerance levels and existing internal controls.
• Providing a supporting role to technical, operational and information systems audits
in order to provide reasonable assurance that internal controls, governance
structures and risk management in those areas are effective and adequate.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
• An undergraduate degree in Accounting with at least a 2.1-degree class.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA/CIA/CA(Z)/ ICAEW/ CIMA.
• Minimum of 5 years post Internship/ Articles experience in the industry, preferably
mining industry, of which three should be at senior level.
• Knowledge of IPPF Standards is a pre-requisite.

• Be conversant with the Control Self-Assessment (CSA) Methodology.
• Exposure to SAP ERP and Teammate or ACL is an added advantage.
• Experience in mining industry will be an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of SHEQ Management Systems.
