Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to till in the following positions within the corporation.

(Harare West. Harare East, Mutare, Gweru. Masvingo and Bulawayo)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Transmission Manager or to the Chief Operations Officer in the absence of the Transmission Manager, the position holder shal be responsible for the following:
Design, optimize, document and maintain network plans and designs of Digital Video IP and RF networks deluding network technological mirations.
Commission, plan, design, instal and commission DVB T2. FM and transmssion networks
Communicate effectively with all broadcasters’ proof of concepts, activation.
Schedule and supervise required maintenance of all television and radio assets including passive infrastructure such as towers and antenna systems.
Communicate effectively with all departments on onboarding and customer care issues.
Provide Technical Assistance Support to radio and television signal distribution countrywide to field teams and broadcasters.
Maintains equipment inventory of the region.
Checks transmission availabiity in the region.
Liases with stakeholders Bee ZES A. liquid and others to rectify transmssion and signal faults
Prepares weekly regional transmission and outage reports.
Supervises subordinates to ensure that they dispense their duties to expectations.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
A Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Telecommunications.
Electronics.1′ Electrical Engineering.
Registration with the Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers (ZIE) as a professional engineer or an equivalent professional body. Alternatively, there must be evidence that registration is *i progress.
Strong understanding of broadcasting and transmission standards and technologies, includog DVB-T2, DVB-S2 and MPEG”H264’H265 technologies and FM Radio propagation.
Knowledge of computer networlung. TCP/IP and UDP protocols.
Knowledge of FM Radio. Analogue and Digital TV transmitters and accessories.
Extensive experience m RF engineering within the broadcasting or telecommunications industry, typically 5-10 years.
Ab*ty to work without supervision.
Va’d class 4 Drivers bcense.
