Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions.
SENIOR ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT (HUMAN RESOURCES)
This is a Senior Clerical position and the incumbent will be reporting to the Administration and Human Resources Manager. A highly motivated and mature person is needed for this position. The successful candidate must be a person of high integrity and honesty:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support the internal and external HR-related inquiries and requests
* Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks and preparing and managing employment contracts for junior staff.
* Assist with the performance management procedures for junior staff.
* Schedule interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
* Perform orientation and update records of new staff.
* Process and submit reports to the superiors on general HR activity.
* Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
* Maintain proper records of employee attendance and leave.
* Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluation etc.).
* Updating and maintenance of the asset register.
* Notifying and updating medical aid, funeral and pension statistics.
* Supervision of other Clerks and general staff in the section.
* Arranging for disciplinary hearings in liaison with supervisors and heads of departments.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Psychology with a 2.1 degree pass (essential).
* At least three years’ experience in a busy Human Resources environment (essential).
* Possession of a post graduate diploma in Human Resources and/or Labour Relations is an added advantage.
* Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Being computer literate with capability in MS office related business and communication tools.
* Strong decision making and communication skills.
* Metidious attention to detail.
