SECURITY SUPERVISORS

Most employers require a minimum of five O-Level passes including English and Mathematics, plus a valid Class A or B security license from the Zimbabwe Republic Police. Additional certifications in first aid, firefighting, or occupational safety from institutions like NUST or private security training academies strengthen your application. Prior experience as a security guard or officer is typically essential before advancing to supervisory roles.

You will oversee security personnel shifts, conduct patrols and inspections of premises, and ensure compliance with site-specific security protocols. Daily tasks include briefing and debriefing guards, managing incident reports, coordinating with local police when necessary, and maintaining logs of equipment and access control systems. You may also train new staff and handle disciplinary matters within your team.

Zimbabwean employers value reliability, respect for hierarchy, and strong communication skills given the diverse workforce environments from corporate offices to mining sites. Punctuality is critical as you set the standard for your team, and many positions require flexibility for night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
