Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (Pvt) Ltd (ZCDC), a World Class Diamond Producer for the long-term benefit of Zimbabwe seeks applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and self-driven candidates to be considered for the following positions that have arisen in the business:

SECURITY SUPERINTENDENT

Reporting to the Security Services Manager, the job is based at the Mine and responsible for the following:

Summary of Duties:

⦁ Overseeing, coordinating, and analyzing all security operations work.
⦁ Supervising and monitoring the work and conduct of security operations and surveillance teams.
⦁ Implementing employee performance management processes to ensure optimum employee performance.
⦁ Monitoring departmental system performance with the view to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and making recommendations on the same.
⦁ Developing and implementing effective training and mentoring programs for Security Services personnel.
⦁ Identifying and assessing potential risks within the mine and implementing measures to reduce losses.
⦁ Conducting security awareness campaigns by engaging employees at all levels.
⦁ Generating periodic security updates and reports.
⦁ Ensuring compliance with SHEQ standards, policies, procedures, and practices to achieve the company/objectives.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

⦁ Degree in Risk and Security Management or equivalent.
⦁ At least 7 years experience in Pohce/Military as a commissioned officer or recognized
⦁ private security organization working at the managerial level.
⦁ Experience in the mining industry will be an added advantage.
⦁ Competency in Microsoft Office packages and computer literate.
⦁ Sound knowledge of SHEQ Management Systems.
