- SECURITY OFFICER
(GRADE C3)The incumbent will report to the Admin and Human Resources Manager and will be responsible for the following, among other duties;
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Formulate and develop security policies for Council
– Identify weaknesses in security operations and develop counter measures
– Carrying out security campaigns in an effort to increase awareness on the crime trends in order to prevent recurrence
– Provide operational advice to management and in tightening security within Council
– Responding to requests in Security matters from Council management and assessing security measures put in place
– Undertaking a periodic risk assessment of assets in the organisation. Recommending controls to management in light of value against threat.
– Managing incidents response planning as well as investigations of security breaches and frauds and assist in disciplinary matters associated with such breaches as necessary to reduce the risk of theft and frauds
– Supervise the Security Section with a staff compliment of about fifty officers
– Liaise with the Zimbabwe Republic Police on security issues
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
– Aged below 45 years
– Adegree in Security or Risk management is a must
– Experience at an Assistant Inspector / Inspector level or equivalent in the uniformed forces is a must
– Five O’ Level subject passes including English Language
– Excellent report writing skills are a must
– Clean professional record
– Clean class 4 driver’s license
