Interested Candidates are invited to apply for Security Officer position which has arisen in a Local FMCG company.
Based in Harare and reporting to the Risk & Loss Control Officer, the main purpose of the job is ensure security of the company assets, developing and implementing security policies, protocols and procedures, controlling budgets for security operations and monitor expenses, training and supervising internal loss control operatives and guards. The Security Officer will be responsible for the following, amongst others duties:
• Conduct internal security risk management and suggesting on the mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures
• Recruit, train and supervise security officers and guards
• Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs
• Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events
• Review reports on incidents and breaches
• Investigate and resolve issues
• Evaluate internal security systems, identifying inappropriate and inadequate security controls and recommending updates and review procedures
• Ensuring track of any actions or omissions that has an element of defrauding the company or damaging the reputation of the company.
• Ensure that company vehicles comply with road regulations
• Investigate and report causes of accidents and breakdowns
