Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead on C and I engineering aspects of the project by providing end-to-end technical and leadership contributions and support to ensure project success.
• Leading a project team of C&l Engineers aid Technicians
• Observe work in progress to ensure that procedures are followed and materials used conform to required specifications
• Reviewing functional analysis (control, Emergency Shutdown Down. Fire &Gas systems), instrument data sheets, loop diagrams and instrument material take-off
• Monitoring and controlling Implementation of instrument detail designs on P&ID’s and detail engineering activities (layouts, routings .supports…)
• Optimizesinstrumentsystemsensuringminimalcostandsimplificationincompliancewiththerequiredperformance.
• Ensure appropriate interdisciplinary coordination and efficient communication on the project
• Produces proposals related to C&l for Capital and Revenue expenditure budgets
• Change management for C&l related work
• Supervises Testing and Commissioning ofC&l plant and equipment
• Implement IMS in work procedures and ensure implementation by subordinates

Qualifications and Experience

• A Degree in Electrical’ Electronic engineering or equivalent
• At Ieast8 years relevant experience
• Professional engineering accreditation (Engineering Council of Zimbabwe).
• Professional membership (ZIE Corporate Membership)
• Project management professional certification (PRINCE2/PMP)
• Experience in advanced process control (APC), distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)systems.
