Key Responsibilities
- Ensure plant optimisation through monitoring key performance areas of the boilers.
- Review and assess reports on the condition of plant and equipment and make appropriate recommendations.
- Initiate engineering solutions and projects that address identified system defects.
- Carry out feasibility studies and produce project proposals for recommended projects and other engineering solutions.
- Monitor the condition of plant and equipment.
- Review maintenance programmes for boilers.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and injuries to staff in the Boiler Plant Section.
- Compile, monitor and control the Capital Expenditure Budget for the section.
- Set targets and monitor subordinate performance.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Postgraduate qualification such as an MBL, MBA or equivalent.
- Membership of a recognised professional institution.
- 8 years post-graduate relevant experience, of which 5 years should be at senior level.
