The vacancy for the post of SECRETARY /TREASURER has arisen in this organization. Applications from suitably qualified persons are invited to fill the above mentioned post.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handling the financial transactions in accordance with the policy of the sub catchment council.
  • Keeping of the books of accounts in accordance with the policy and procedures.
  • Writing of all minutes and filling council documents.
  • Prepare and present annual budgets and monthly financial reports timcously.
  • Prepare monthly payments and tax returns.
  • Advise on council budget performance and funds inflows.
  • Receipting of the water users payments.
  • Prepare all receipts, vouchers and documents to support financial transactions.
  • Compilation of the asset register, correspondences and debtors list.
  • Prepare the bank reconciliation petty cash and cash books.
  • Ensure secretarial duties arc done.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

  • Higher National diploma in Accounts /Finance.
  • Degree in Accounts/Finance.
  • Possession of CIS/ACCA/SAA an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years of traceable work experience.
  • Work experience in similar environment is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in accounting packages and software
