Key Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious, balanced, and appealing meals for students and staff.
• Manage kitchen operations ensuring hygiene, safety, and quality standards are met.
• Plan menus in collaboration with school management to support healthy lifestyles.
• Maintain inventory and manage food supplies efficiently.
• Conducting regular inspections and provide detailed reports on the condition and performance of equipment.
• Work closely with the school nurse to address students with health challenges who require special dietary provisions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years proven experience as a chef – working in a school or boarding environment is an added advantage.
• Class 1 Chef
• Knowledge of nutrition and food safety standards.
• Demonstrated expertise and ability to prepare meals consistently
• Proficient and efficient inventory and stock management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Commitment to supporting the school’s Christian values and child-centred approach.
