Key Responsibilities
- Prepare nutritious, balanced, and appealing meals for students and staff.
- Manage kitchen operations ensuring hygiene, safety, and quality standards are met.
- Plan menus in collaboration with school management to support healthy lifestyles.
- Maintain inventory and manage food supplies efficiently.
- Conducting regular inspections and provide detailed reports on the condition and performance of equipment.
- Work closely with the school nurse to address students with health challenges who require special dietary provisions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years proven experience as a chef – working in a school or boarding environment is an added advantage.
- Class 1 Chef
- Knowledge of nutrition and food safety standards.
- Demonstrated expertise and ability to prepare meals consistently
- Proficient and efficient inventory and stock management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Commitment to supporting the school’s Christian values and child-centred approach.
