Sales and Marketing Manager : National Biotechnology Authority

Job Summary

The National Biotechnology Authority is looking for an ambitious, highly skilled Sales and Marketing Manager with a track record of success with start-ups. The Sales and Marketing Manager will be based in Harare and will report to the Director, Business Enterprise Development.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of the organisation’s overall strategy and operational plans.
• Develop and implement sales plans for the organisation’s business units.
• Develop and implement demand creation activities for each business unit to achieve budgets.
• Oversee the day-to-day sales, monitoring and forecasting to achieve the personal and team goals.
• Conduct regular staff performance reviews.
• Own ultimate responsibility for successfully meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Ability to build sustainable business relationships with key stakeholders.
• New product development in liaison with the Research, Development and Innovation Department.
• New market development.
• Periodic reporting.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Director.

Qualifications And Experience

• Degree in Business Studies, Marketing or related field.
• Possession of an MBA would be an added advantage.
• Membership of the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe essential.
• At least 3yrs hands on FMCG sales management experience.
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
• Ability to challenge the status quo.
• Strong computer skills (including ability to manage social media sites).
• Valid Class 4 Drivers Licence.
