SAFETY HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT (SHE)
Duties And Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Assisting to develop safety policies and procedures
- Providing administration support in the department
- Taking minutes at meetings
- Preparing reports
- Reviewing and coordinating risk assessments, registers (team in box queries), incident reports, and audits reports
- Organizing monthly/ departmental (sectional) team meetings and solving safety issues
- Coordinating audits and inspections
- Compiling Safety, Health and Environment Statistics (Injuries classification)
- Tracking corrective action plans and incident data
- Reviewing important safety documents
- Keeping record of all the department legal appointments
- Planning and conducting safety drills with workplace staff
- Training workplace personnel to deal with any kind of emergency
- Creating safety manuals
- Coordinating safety training and campaigns
- Developing safety meeting topics
Qualifications And Experience
- A relevant degree related in Safety, Health and Environment or Geography and Environmental Studies/Science
- Professional certificates related to Safety Health and Environment (OSHEMAC, NEBOSH) is an added advantage.
- The ideal candidate should have at least one year postgraduate experience from a reputable organization.
