The following opportunity has arisen at Old Nic Mine, based in Bulawayo.
Safety, HeaIth and Environment Coordinator

Requirements
– Degree/Diploma in Mining
– Professional qualification such as SHATCO or OSHEMAC is a prerequisite
– Full Blasting Licence holder
– Training qualifications such as IPMZ, or related training an added advantage
– Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an underground mine, with bias towards training
– Thorough knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environment Management Systems

Competences
– Possess administrative and technical skills to implement and operationalize a SHE system.
– Be able to train employees/trainees for Mine Blasting and Full Blasting Licences, and other Mining Technical Skills
– Must work with all stakeholders and effectively coordinate safety, health, and environmental issues.
– Ensures compliance with safety and environmental legislation.
– Participates in wellness programs.
– Intelligence gathering on Health, Safety and Environment matters.
– Be self-driven to achieve set targets.
