A safety professional responsible for designing and delivering health and safety strategies, conducting audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing environmental health and safety initiatives aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and delivering health and safety strategies and initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
- Inspecting workplaces for adherence to regulations on safety, health, and the environment.
- Advising line managers SHE issues and ensuring the compliance of safety documents and policies.
- Prepare reports on accidents and violations, and maintain accurate records.
- Plan for emergency responses.
- Maintaining an awareness of all developments in the field of corporate safety and health practices.
- Assisting with the development of strategic plans for health, safety, and environment.
- Oversee workplace repairs and installations.
- Liaising with regulatory bodies such as EMA, NSSA, CITY COUNCILS, FIREBRIDGADE, etc.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree Environmental Health and Safety Management.
- OSHEMAC Certificate
- At least 2 years post qualification experience in coordinating and implementing SHE programs in a work environment
- Good verbal and written communication skill
